The transaction amount is transferred to your bank account in 3 business days after deducting the transaction fee and GST.

For example: If you received payments of ₹1000 on Monday, ₹972.86 will be the amount you will receive on Thursday directly in your bank account.

Instamojo pays its sellers on every business day. That is, you receive a payout everyday from Monday to Friday for your payments.

You receive the money in the bank account entered during the on-boarding process. We also send you an email for every payout on Instamojo.

If it's been more than 3 days and haven't heard received an email from us, please reach out to us at support@instamojo.com.

Your payouts could be on hold any of these reasons. Please check your email for communication from us:

Bank Holiday - If a bank holiday falls on the day of the payout, it will be transferred on the next business day.
Proof of Delivery/Service - For the first few transactions, your payouts could be kept on hold for our compliance team to verify the transactions. They will reach out to you for a proof of service/delivery. Through this verification process, we attempt to protect both buyers and sellers from fraudulent activity. This also ensures that the payments processed by Instamojo are in good faith and are compliant to our Terms of Services.
Refund/Chargeback - Your payouts could be kept on hold due to a refund/chargeback filed by one of your customers. Please visit the 'Resolution Center' on your dashboard to communicate with the buyer and resolve the issue.

When someone pays you on Instamojo, a transaction is initiated. Every transaction accounts to a fee that is charged from the corresponding bank.

For every transaction, there is a nominal fee that is charged to you. The normal transaction fee at Instamojo is 2% of the amount + ₹ 3 per transaction excluding GST.

For example: if someone pays you ₹ 1000, you'll receive ₹ 972.86 in your bank account. The exact break up of the Instamojo Fee and GST is given below.

Calculation:

    Customer pays you: 1000
    Instamojo fee: 2% of 1000 + 3 = 23
    GST on Instamojo fee: 18% of 23 = 4.14
    Amount paid out to your bank account: 1000 - (23 + 4.14) = INR 972.86

This transaction fee is a flat 2% + INR 3 across credit cards, debit cards, and net banking except for the following cases:

1. International Cards - 3% + INR 3

2. American Express Cards - 3% + INR 3

3. Digital Products hosted on Instamojo - 5% + INR 3

4. Wallets (Ola, MobiKwik, FreeCharge) - 2% + INR 3

^All the prices mentioned above are excluding GST. GST of 18% is levied on the transaction fee.

International pricing is subject to change post review by our compliance team.

Why am I charged a transaction fee?

For every transaction that takes place online, the provider bank charges an amount to us. A GST is levied on this transaction too. For this reason, we calculated the best possible transaction rate that serves in the interest of both parties - you as merchants and us as a payments enabler.

Modes of Payment

Instamojo supports payments via all major credit cards, debit cards, wallets and net-banking.
